WHO WE ARE
The Foundation for Agriculture and Environmental Conservation (FAEC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to working with local communities to provide sustainable agricultural practices, sustainable healthcare, quality education, forest and wildlife conservation, rural renewable energy, gender equality, environmental conservation and management, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) to combat climate change and poverty in Sierra Leone. Our mission is to create awareness and implement initiatives that support healthcare, and sustainable farming methods, protect the environment, and empower rural communities through capacity building, advocacy, localizing technologies, and partnerships with like-minded individuals and organizations. Join us in our efforts to alleviate poverty, address climate action, reduce youth unemployment, promote sustainable agricultural practices, and improve maternal and child healthcare in Sierra Leone.
LEADERSHIP: The Organization is governed by a general assembly that comprises The Founder, The Advisors, and The Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees is one of the governing bodies responsible for overseeing and managing the team. It is also sometimes known as a Council or Management Committee. The organization is also headed by the Chairperson.
